FOOTBALL!!!!!!
i love football. i’m getting amped already because next saturday i get to watch football all day. i’m a clemson fan but i’m so excited about football that i will be watching the carolina game thursday night. saturday night i’m going to have my traditional monster sandwich with cheese puffs and orange crush soda. i’ve done this for close to 20 years now. i’m not superstitious but i feel like if i didn’t, that something bad would happen. ok so i guess that is being superstitious. anyway, this is our year. i hope. we have all the pieces in place and if we can remain focused, i believe we can win it all.
so back to football in general. i love football so much that i watch any game that’s on. it doesn’t matter if it’s podunk university vs. hillbilly state. i love it all. now i don’t watch all pro games like that but the college game just seems more pure to me. i like to watch high school games. i love to watch pee wee games when they’re on. the lower the level the more pure the game.
i love the passionate pursuit of a linebacker playing with reckless abandon. i love to see an offensive lineman running down field ahead of a runner clearing the way. i love to see the quarterback throw an out route to the tight end. i love a fullback up the gut for 3 yards. i love to see a noseguard recover a fumble in the endzone. i love seeing a team down by 1 with no time on the clock go for 2 to win.
so here’s to my teams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Clemson Tigers, and Socastee High School Braves.
be in better shape than the other team.
offense, own the line of scrimmage.
defense, play with no mercy.
and please win the super bowl, the national championship and the state championship for me. please?
